🇨🇦 Canada Day Gatherings: A Taste of Summer, a Touch of Kampot
Share
There’s something quietly magical about Canada Day. Not just the fireworks or the flags—but the way time slows down when family and friends gather in the warmth of early July. Laughter over a shared table. Bare feet on the dock. Smoky scents of the BBQ curling into the golden light of a long summer evening.
Across the country, patios and lakeshores fill with joy. The grill sizzles with fresh corn, marinated meats, and just-picked vegetables. This is where the heart of summer begins—in community, in stillness, in shared meals.
And in these moments, flavour becomes memory.
This year, we dusted our grilled favourites with a pinch of freshly cracked Kampot pepper—a quiet twist that turned heads and sparked conversation. Its fragrant depth, its subtle heat, and its sun-kissed origin added something unexpected to our celebration: a story of taste that travelled from Cambodia to our Canadian table.
From the spice of heritage to the sweetness of togetherness, we’re reminded that good food is more than nourishment—it’s connection.
So here’s to a Canada Day full of simple pleasures.
The crackle of the BBQ. The calm of the lake.
And a little something special on the plate.
