In February 2026, our Kirum Kampot Pepper's producer, Confirel Co., Ltd., a pioneer in sustainable and ethical agricultural products from Cambodia, specializing in the world-renowned Kampot pepper., participated in the 60th Supermarket Trade Show (SMTS 2026) held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan — one of the largest trade exhibitions in Asia for food and retail distribution.

The event welcomed nearly 2,300 exhibitors from 15 countries and over 3,000 booths, providing a platform for international brands to establish partnerships and expand market presence.
Supported by the Commercial Attaché of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Japan and Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia, Confirel, in collaboration with Yamato Printing Group and Cambodia Life, showcased premium Cambodian agricultural products — including Kirum Kampot Pepper and palm sugar — highlighting the quality and heritage of Cambodia’s most respected exports. This showcases Confirel’s international export network for Kirum Kampot Pepper.
This participation builds on an established presence in Japan. Since 2018, Confirel’s Kampot Pepper and palm sugar have been distributed in approximately 120 AEON stores across Japan, including 40 locations in Tokyo.
For Canadian consumers and chefs, this international recognition reinforces what makes Kampot Pepper exceptional:
- Protected Geographical Indication (GI) status
- Traditional cultivation methods
- Global retail acceptance
- Long-term export credibility
As the official Canadian importer of Kirum Kampot Pepper, TYKCollective is proud to bring a product with demonstrated international presence and proven quality standards to the Canadian market.
